The American Communication
Association is a not-for-profit virtual professional association
with actual presence in the world of communication scholars
and practitioners. ACA is committed to enabling the effective
use of new and evolving communication technologies to facilitate
instruction, research, and criticism; it offers a technologically-supportive
venue for all who study the ways in which humans communicate.
The
Chinese Software Professionals Association (CSPA) is a nonprofit
organization dedicated to promoting leadership, community, and
entrepreneurship through events and member services. CSPA was
founded by a core group of Chinese and has grown to embrace
and serve people from all ethnicities and backgrounds.
The Interactive Multimedia
& Collaborative Communications Alliance (IMCCA) is an organization
of members who share a common interest in fostering and promoting
people to people communications and learning throughout their
industry. Alliance members are end users, vendors, and other
interested professionals involved in interactive multimedia
and collaborative communications technologies and their applications.
The International Society for
Presence Research (ISPR) supports academic research related
to the concept of (tele)presence, commonly referred to as a
sense of 'being there' in a virtual environment and more broadly
defined as an illusion of nonmediation in which users of any
technology overlook or misconstrue the technology's role in
their experience.
The Organization of Independent Software Vendors is a co-operative
of Developers, Marketers, Distributors, and Retailers that
combine their resources to create better and affordable software
for users. Membership to the OISV is upon approval only and
members are only accepted on their past, current or future
involvement in the software industry.
The
Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) is
a global nonprofit membership organization for everyone involved
in creating and managing business knowledge. Our mission is
to enhance the success of our members through leadership, education,
advocacy, and networking.
The
Software Industry Professionals group was newly founded in May
2006 to represent members of the software industry. Members
include independent software vendors, commercial software publishers,
download site owners, academics, educational institutions and
organizations, and IT marketing/advertising experts.
Founded in 1989, the Service
& Support Professionals Association (SSPA) has grown to
become the largest and most influential industry trade group
for technology service and support professionals. Its nearly
200 member companies represent tech support, field service and
customer relations organizations around the globe.
The Trialware Professional Association
(TPA) was formed to foster a professional image of the trial
software industry. The TPA will actively attempt to distance
itself and its members' software from negative aspects of the
"shareware" concept, while promoting the value of
alternative trial software concepts.
The United Kingdom Software Metrics
Association is a member-run User Group set up in 1988 as UFPUG,
to support users of Function Point Analysis methods. Over
time, it has evolved into its current form, supporting the
use of all the main Functional Size Measurement Methods, and
playing a key part in their development.
